Our Story

Korean Culinary Adventure

Hi Chingus (friend)!

My name is Leo, and I am the co-owner of Chingu Korean Eats.

My business partner, William, and I decided it was finally time to stop talking about our dream and start building it. We sat down and asked ourselves a simple question: What are our core values? The answer was easy! Bringing people together through great food. We also felt that Boise, Idaho could use more fun and diverse cuisine options, and we wanted to help bring something unique and exciting to the local food scene.

For years, we’ve loved hosting dinner parties and sharing meals with family and friends. Some of our favorite memories have been made around the dinner table, where food brought people together, sparked conversations, and created lasting connections.

With my family’s background in Korean BBQ and hospitality, combined with William’s business experience and entrepreneurial mindset, we knew we had the perfect recipe to turn our passion into something bigger.

That’s how Chingu Korean Eats was born.

“Chingu” means “friend” in Korean, and that’s exactly how we want every customer to feel when they visit us. Whether you’re trying Korean food for the first time or it’s something you grew up with, our goal is to serve delicious, authentic flavors while creating a welcoming experience for everyone.

More than just a food truck, Chingu Korean Eats is about community, friendship, and sharing the food we love with the people around us.

Thank you for supporting our dream. We can’t wait to serve you and welcome you to be our Chingus.
